3E selected to design energy concept of new BNP Paribas Fortis HQ in Brussels

We have been selected as sustainability consultants and BREEAM specialists for the new BNP Paribas Fortis building in the centre of Brussels / Montagne du Parc Project. We will guide the building team in implementing optimal, efficient energy systems and building features. As BREEAM assessor, we will also provide certification guidance, with the aim of reaching a BREEAM Excellent rating.

The new headquarters will be designed by architects be baumschlager eberle, in a partnership with Styfhals & Partners and M&R-Engineering. The new building will replace the existing building of BNP Paribas Fortis and is meant to set new standards for sustainability.

Our team, specialized in energy optimisation for buildings and sites, will focus specifically on:

  • Sustainability guidance
  • BREEAM certification process
  • PHPP certification and advisory on building physics, HVAC and energy systems.
  • the detailed, integrated energy concept of the building, based on dynamic simulations of building behaviour

Our assessments, guidance and proposals for technologies, systems, and materials are based on lifecycle and lifecycle-cost analyses and models, built to determine long-term optimums in terms of environmental impact and cost.
