Webinar: How to create a legal context boosting the clean energy transition on islands?

Don’t miss this webinar on how to create better policies for energy communities and EU islands on 27/02 at 11:00 am!

The Clean Energy for EU Islands Secretariat, of which 3E is the Technical Task Force Leader, is organising a series of free webinars aiming to support islands communities and leaders in their clean energy transition by providing them tools, insights and peer advice on topics such as: electricity storage, integration challenges, sustainable transport solutions for islands, transition management, community engagement, Horizon 2020 funding opportunities, etc.

In the next webinar Josh Roberts, Advocacy Officer at REScoop.eu and Kate Ruddock, Director at Friends of the Earth Ireland will talk about “How can decision-makers create a favourable legal context for their islands”.

The EU Islands Secretariat further explains on their website: “The EU Clean Energy Package published in 2019 provides a number of interesting opportunities for local communities – including islands – to take ownership of their energy transition. In order for island communities to be able to use these possibilities, national and regional policymakers need to make smart decisions when writing the new EU rules into their own legislation. Good implementation can also strengthen the economies and energy systems of island communities (…). This webinar aims to provide decision-makers and advocacy experts with good practice examples on how to translate the new EU laws into their own context, and through this boost their island communities”.

This session will take place on 27 February from 11:00 to 12:00 CET. So make sure to register.

Please note that all the past webinars have been recorded and that there are many more to come. So stay tuned!
