3E will support Saméole, leading French wind park developer and operator, in developing wind projects for Sofico, the company that manages the major Walloon road and river networks. Sofico supports the Walloon Region in its efforts to increase the production of renewable energies and fight against global warming.
As a result of the first call for proposals that was issued in July 2016, Saméole signed an agreement with Sofico to develop wind projects on 10 of their gas stations along the highways of Wallonia, concerning the installation of wind turbines on the motorway service areas managed by Sofico.
Given 3E’s extensive experience in wind power developments in the region, Saméole selected us to participate as Technical Advisor on these 10 projects. Starting with feasibility studies, 3E will also support by conducting Wind resource assessments, turbine selection and long-term energy production analysis.
